  8. A continuing  guide to what  to look for in the  world of TREK. All the items 
  9. listed below should be out for  sometime in September, but bear  in mind that 
  10. this is  only a guide  so some of the merchandise  could be released sometime 
  11. after.

  17. THE CLASSIC EPISODES: VOL. 1 - 3

  20. These are  reprints of the  James Blish adaptations  that appeared some years 
  21. back  now  released  as 3  books instead  of 12.  They  are 25th  Anniversary 
  22. editions and all feature the  25th anniversary logo as their covers. Each are
  23. priced at $5.99 (About £3.99-£4.50).

  25. GREENBERG'S GUIDE TO STAR TREK COLLECTABLES: VOL 1 - 3

  28. This set is  a must for all  people collecting  TREK merchandise,  but beware 
  29. they are pricey. At $29.95 each (About £18.00-£20.00) I suspect that they are
  30. aimed at  the die-hard TREK fan.  Each book boasts to be the completest guide 
  31. to memorabilia  ever and also  includes an up to date  price list of  all the 
  32. collectables available.

  34. CAPTAIN'S LOG (BLANK DIARY-LIKE) BOOK

  37. The title says it  all for this one. The cover has an embossed picture of the
  38. original T.V. ENTERPRISE on it. The price, $6.95 (About £4.50).

  44. Paramount home  video are releasing  in the states a  'new' set of the movies 
  45. (1-5) in a  repackaged format. Each  box down it's side has a  section of the 
  46. ENTERPRISE, and when  all 5 stand together the form a complete picture of the
  47. ship. The price on  this set is $74.95. Also  the same set  is released  in a 
  48. special  gift  set which  includes  not  only  the 5  films but  also several 
  49. specially created  commemorative enamel  pins and a commemorative certificate 
  50. from Gene Roddenberry. The  price on  this  set is  $100.00. (I've  not put a 
  51. rough English  price as CIC should  be releasing the set over here. Allthough 
  52. I'm not sure if that includes the special gift set.)

  58. The DC line in STAR TREK comics  continues with STAR TREK #26, The ENTERPRISE
  59. is assigned to Pilker 3, where Kirk finds that he is a titled land-owner with
  60. a wife. THE NEXT GENERATION #26, As Worf's family shares a tense reunion, the
  61. ENTERPRISE encounters unexpected dangers in a search for  Okona.  THE BEST OF
  62. STAR TREK TRADE PAPERBACK - Stories include : The trial of James T. Kirk.

  64. Personality  comics also continue there unauthorized biogs. This time with #3
  65. THE ORIGINAL CREW - DEFOREST KELLY. As before  there are two versions,  one a 
  66. normal comic, two - a signed and numbered edition.

  72. STAR  TREK IV: THE  UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY  is the  official deluxe  movie mag. 
  73. There are exclusive interviews and colour photos from the latest movie. Price
  74. $4.95 (About £3.50-£3.99).

  80. In time  for  the movie  is the  now  traditional  re-packaged  model of  the 
  81. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701A (Not to sure if the  Shuttle craft from the STIV package
  82. is in) Price $15.30 (About £10.00-£12.00).

  84. The  next model to  be released from  the new film is  a newly designed  with 
  85. enhanced detail Klingon cruiser. This will retail at $8.10 (About £6.99).

  87. And finally  for the models the  one I've been waiting for since seeing it in 
  88. a 4th season NEXT GEN episode is the new  Klingon Battle Cruiser. The size of
  89. the kit should equal  that of the  NCC-1701D and  is priced at  $15.30 (About 
  90. £10.00).

  99. 25th ANNIVERSARY POSTER - This  features Kirk,  Spock, McCoy and Uhura as the 
  100.                           main theme, with  the Enterprise  orbiting a planet 
  101.                           and the crew  in the  Transporter chamber  awaiting 
  102.                           beam  down  plus  the  25th  Anniversary  logo  and 
  103.                           retails at $5.00 (About £3.50-£4.00).

  105. NEXT GEN ENTERPRISE POSTER - This is a really  nice poster of 1701-D orbiting
  106.                              a planet with To Boldly Go Where No One Has Gone
  107.                              Before  along the top  left of it.  Retail $5.00 
  108.                              (About same as above).

  110. 6FT. DOOR POSTERS - There are two door  posters in the set, one has Kirk in a
  111.                     classic  stance on a planet's surface with the words beam
  112.                     me up Scotty  next to him. The  other is of  Spock in the 
  113.                     Transporter with Live Long And  Prosper next to him. Both
  114.                     are $10.00 About £7.00).

  117. HAMILTON COLLECTION

  120. Two sets for  the 25th. One  are Kirk and Spock  figures. Each stands approx. 
  121. 11.5" and are made from vinyl. Each priced  at $17.00 (I paid £11.99 each for
  122. mine). Also  released are a set of 13 small pvc  figures: Kirk, Spock, McCoy,
  123. Scotty, Chekov,  Sulu, Uhura, Klingon,  Gorn, Talosian, Mugatu,  Andorian and 
  124. Tellarite (shame there's no Romulan). I paid £3.99 each for mine.

  126. CERAMIC MUGS

  129. There are 8  in this set  which include:  Kirk, Spock,  McCoy, Scotty,  Sulu,
  130. Chekov,  Uhuru  and  crew  in  the  Transporter. I  believe  that  these  are 
  131. reproductions  of the series of plates that came out some time ago and retail
  132. at $10.00 (I've seen them for £6.00 ea).
